“Music is one of the sharpest blades that we have to cut through the thick entangled web of the external mind and lead us back into the silent cave of our own Heart.”
~ MC Yogi
Join Julia Berkeley and Michael Reidinger Sunday Sept 2nd for a delicious kirtan journey back into the silent cave of your own heart. Let the magical vibrations of mantra and song cut through the entangled web of the mind and return you to the abiding peace and light that shines within.
What is Kirtan?
Kirtan is a call and response chanting practice that moves the heart towards an experience of inner silence, boundless love, and intimate union with the Divine. Whether it’s your first time or you’ve been doing it forever this practice will uplift your heart and soul. Krishna Das says “The ability to sing beautifully is enjoyable, but not necessary. What matters is singing from the heart.” You don’t need to be able to sing, just be willing to give it a go and feel the effects!
SUNDAY 2nd SEPTEMBER @ 7 - 8.30pm
Where: Ojai Yoga Shala, 306 E. Matilija St, Ojai
Exchange: $20 (no one will be turned away for lack of funds)
