A journey into stillness: Winter Solstice Ceremony

Join Julia Berkeley and Seshen for a Winter Solstice Ceremony on Thursday, December 21st at Move Sanctuary.

December 21st marks the beginning of winter and the turning of the yearly cycle. At this still point of the year we come together to honor the rhythms of nature and find our own sacred pause.

You will be guided on a journey into stillness through deep relaxation (yoga nidra), sound healing, kirtan, and meditation. Receive deep nourishment from the mystery of silence and open into your infinite nature.

This restful journey will also assist you to hear the quiet whispers of your heart and plant seeds of intention for the coming cycle while releasing into the darkness that which no longer serves. 

We come together for ourselves, our families, our global family and our mother earth. As we tend to the light of the soul within each of us, we also tend to the light of our collective.

ABOUT SESHEN

Seshen has been facilitating somatic healing and embodiment practices through touch therapy, movement, and sound for the past 15 years. Originally from Japan, she holds a masters degree in music and vocal improvisation from the Norwegian Academy of Music. Her sound healing is deeply influenced by nature, Japanese culture, body-centered healing practice, as well as years of collaboration with Nordic elder shaman, musician, and gong master Bjørn Arne Løken. With her crystal instruments and voice, she composes the music in the moment, attuning to the intention and field that we share.
